This Giving Tuesday, Combined Arms Invites MileagePlus Members to Donate Miles to Help Connect Veterans with Critically-Needed Social Services, Resources, and Support
MileagePlus members looking to give back this holiday season can donate miles to Combined Arms through United Airlines’ Miles on a Mission program
[Houston, TX] – November 30, 2021 – Starting today, MileagePlus® members can help Combined Arms raise miles to help support our nation’s veterans and military-connected individuals through United’s crowdsourcing program, Miles on a MissionSM. The miles raised will be used to help Combined Arms replicate our proven model beyond Texas and, in turn, connect more veterans and military-connected individuals with the resources and support needed to thrive after serving our nation.
Combined Arms is aiming to raise 250,000 miles, which will help support Combined Arms’ broader mission to accelerate and fundamentally improve the transition from military to civilian life for service members, veterans, and military family members. United will provide an additional 50,000 bonus miles to Combined Arms once the mile raising goal is reached.
“Combined Arms developed a proven model to directly connect veterans and military families in Houston, TX with the organizations that serve them. Now, six years later, we’ve scaled our efforts to make Texas the first interconnected state for veterans and military families, serving over 50,000 unique individuals along the way,” said Michael Hutchings, Chief Executive Officer, Combined Arms. “Miles raised through Miles on a Mission will help Combined Arms further replicate our model and directly connect service members, veterans, and military-connected individuals across the nation to critically-needed social services and resources in just minutes via the Combined Arms platform.”
The Miles on a Mission program allows MileagePlus members to donate their miles to a wide variety of non-profits in need of air travel. To date, more than 154 million miles have been donated through the program. Miles on a Mission is a part of United’s Every Action Counts commitment, which aims to connect people, unite the world and serve communities by putting people and planes to work for the greater good.
