Houston, Texas. July 11, 2024 – In the wake of Hurricane Beryl's devastating impact on Texas, Combined Arms is pleased to announce it has been awarded significant funding to bolster its recovery efforts across multiple counties in the state. This funding, provided by Bob Woodruff Foundation, will enable Combined Arms to expand its initiatives aimed at rebuilding communities, supporting affected veterans and their families, and restoring essential infrastructure.
Hurricane Beryl, which made landfall on July 8th, inflicted widespread damage, including large scale power outages, displacing families and disrupting livelihoods across Texas. Recognizing the urgent need for sustained recovery efforts, Combined Arms will be at the forefront providing critical assistance to veterans and their families in need. With this new funding, the organization plans to scale up its operations and reach even more communities.
"We are incredibly grateful to the Bob Woodruff Foundation, for their generous support," said Mia Garcia, Executive Director of Texas Veterans Network powered by Combined Arms.
"This funding will significantly enhance our ability to help Texas veterans recover and rebuild their lives after the devastating impact of Hurricane Beryl. We are committed to ensuring that this support is used effectively to bring hope and stability back to those who have been affected."
The grant will specifically fund initiatives such as housing rehabilitation, debris removal, Food pantries, and economic recovery programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of affected veterans and extended communities. Additionally, Combined Arms will collaborate closely with local authorities, community leaders, and other nonprofit organizations to maximize the impact of its efforts and ensure a coordinated response
